Mancal Coal Inc.
With access to over an estimated two billion tonnes of undeveloped coal resources, Mancal Coal Inc. (MCI) is actively pursuing opportunities to capitalize on the value of its immense resource base. Responsible advancement of our projects is foundational to long-term success.
Mancal Coal Inc.
From interests in operating assets to a pipeline of exploration and development properties, MCI’s diversified coal resource base is well-positioned to serve a diverse range of markets, playing a key role in the energy, steel-making and industrial sectors.
With a coal mining history dating back to 1934, we have been extremely effective in building successful coal companies. At one time Canada’s largest coal producer, predecessor company, Manalta Coal Ltd., was eventually sold to a publicly traded income trust and MCI retained all non-producing assets.
Recent successes in MCI have led to successful mine development and value creation, providing the foundation to build on future opportunities.

Reclamation
Mancal Coal and our predecessor companies, including Manalta Coal, have always felt a very strong responsibility to respect the environment and implement leading environmental practices.
Long before there were government environmental considerations, our companies were reclaiming and restoring the mining landscapes to a condition equal to or better than its original condition.
