Douglas (Doug) G. Hittel, P.Geol
President
Mr. Hittel was appointed President of Mancal Energy in April 2010. He was a founding member of the original Mancal Energy team, and was Vice President, Exploration for the company for 11 years.
Mr. Hittel has 30 years of industry experience in both management and geo- technical roles in the Canadian upstream oil and gas sector. Prior to joining Mancal Energy, Mr. Hittel was Manager of Exploration with Highridge Exploration Ltd. He was also Vice President Exploration at PanAtlas Energy Inc., Exploration Manager for New Cache Petroleum and a Senior Geologist at Apache Corporation.
Mr. Hittel began his career with Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas in 1980. Mr. Hittel is a member of APEGGA, the CSPG, and the AAPG. Mr. Hittel also sits on the Board of Governors for the Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (SEPAC)
Kathryn L. Stephenson, CMA
Controller
Ms. Stephenson joined Mancal Energy in November of 2003 as Senior Accountant. She has a strong accounting background. Prior to Mancal Energy she was employed with the Province of Alberta – Agriculture Financial Services Corporation, where she was the Assistant Controller. Kathryn began her studies at the University of Regina and completed her Management degree through Athabasca University. Recently, Ms. Stephenson completed her CMA designation.
Gary L. Horton, P.Eng
Drilling and Completions Manager
Mr. Horton joined Mancal Energy Inc. as Drilling and Completions
Manager in June 2001. Previously he was with Barrington Petroleum
Ltd. as the Drilling and Completions Superintendent and Nowsco Well
Service. He also spent 14 years in various Drilling and Completions
roles at Amoco Canada Petroleum Company and has over 30 years in
the oil and gas industry. Mr. Horton received his degree in Mining
Engineering from the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1979. He is a
member of APEGGA, SPE, the Canadian Association of Drilling
Engineers and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and
Petroleum (Petroleum Society).
Bret A. Hughes, P.Eng
Vice President, Production
Mr. Hughes has been with Mancal Energy Inc. as Manager of Exploitation
since September 2002. Mr. Hughes has over 17 years of oil & gas
experience. Mr. Hughes was previously with Anadarko Canada Corporation as
Senior Production Engineer following the acquisition of Berkley
Petroleum Corporation where he was employed for two years. Mr. Hughes has
extensive international & domestic field experience working both
onshore oil & offshore gas developments in Africa and through field
assignments in Canada with Ocelot Energy Inc. Mr. Hughes graduated from the
University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1992. Mr. Hughes
is a member of APEGGA.
Robert (Rob) J. Langill
Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Langill joined Mancal Energy Inc. in September 1999, and has been the
Exploration Manager since January 2008. Previously, he was with Highridge
Exploration Ltd. as Senior Geologist, and before that worked for
Pinnacle Resources and Poco-Voyager for a total of 21 years in the
oil and gas industry. Mr. Langill graduated from Queens University in 1988 with a
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology. He is a member of the
CSPG.
Jason Chadwick
Vice President, Land
Mr. Chadwick joined Mancal Energy Inc. as Land Manager in
April 2008. Mr. Chadwick has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1997. Previously, he was the Land Manager with Defiant Resources Corporation and has previous experience with Canadian Superior, Rio Alto, Mobil and Norcen in both mineral and surface land activities. Mr. Chadwick graduated from the University of Calgary in 1997 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Petroleum Land Management. He received his permanent Land Agent License in 2003.
